Josh Kauffman

Josh is a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Science, a 2007 graduate of Urbana University with a license in Middle Childhood Education, and a 2014 graduate of the University of Dayton earning a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Josh currently serves as the principal at Elmwood Elementary School in Bloomdale, Ohio. Prior to Elmwood, Josh served as the 7-12 principal at Hardin Northern JH/HS for three years. Josh was the middle school principal at Bluffton Middle School for 4 years and was the principal at Piqua Central Intermediate School in Piqua Ohio for 5 years. His teaching career began at Benjamin Logan Middle School, followed by Hickory Ridge Middle School in Harrisburg, NC, before returning to Ohio to teach at Pandora-Gilboa Local Schools. He has taught Language Arts and Social Studies in every grade at the middle level 5-8. Josh has also served in the role of an athletic director, transportation director, bus driver, and multi-sport coach. Josh currently resides in his country home outside of Mount Cory with his wife Bethany, who teaches 7th and 8th grade ELA/SS at Ottawa Elementary, and his three children Evelyn, twin sons Ezekiel and Emerson, and their therapy dog, Daisy Mae.
